A lifetime of

Community service and philanthropy, anchored in Kauaʻi.

Lifelong service: church deacon, Sunday school teacher, mentor, long before any of the businesses.

Throughout his life, Stefan Swanepoel has been guided by a simple but profound belief — that we are all called to leave the world a little better than we found it. His journey has been defined not only by professional accomplishments but by a deep, personal devotion to helping others and strengthening the communities in which he lives and works.

This spirit of service has always been part of who Stefan is. Whether as a deacon in his church, a student council leader, a Sunday school teacher, or a mentor to young professionals at work, he has consistently been someone others turn to — a steady hand, a helping hand and a force for good.

In 2004, Stefan conceptualized a philanthropic vision for real estate by establishing a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to elevating the U.S. residential real estate brokerage industry by helping newly licensed real estate agents. His goal was to empower new and aspiring professionals to overcome the uncertainty and financial barriers that often accompany the early stages of a career – and to do so at no cost to them. By coordinating leading industry partners to contribute education, mentorship, and resources free of charge, the foundation helped thousands of new agents across the country find their path towards a new career.

Stefan has also given his time and leadership to other causes, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club, where he supported programs focused on youth development and community engagement.

Today, Stefan continues his mission of service on the island of Kaua‘i, where he leads North Shore Give, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the well-being of residents across the island’s North Shore. Under his leadership, the foundation and many other active volunteers are very actively involved in many meaningful initiatives, including:

  • Gift of Health – A five-year commitment to fund essential medical equipment for Makana Urgent Care, the only urgent care facility on Kaua‘i’s North Shore.
  • Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – In partnership with KEMA, FEMA, and the Kaua‘i Fire Department, this program trains volunteers to assist in local disaster preparedness and response, strengthening community resilience in times of crisis.
  • Namahana School Project – Leading the creation of the first tuition-free middle and high school on Kaua‘i’s North Shore, providing families with quality education close to home.
  • Ohana Fit Festival – Hosting an annual wellness event that brings together more than 300 residents in celebration of health, fitness, and community.
  • North Shore BarkPark – Establishing and maintaining the North Shoreʻs only dedicated dog park, a gathering place that promotes connection and joy among residents and their four-legged companions.

Across all his endeavors, Stefan’s philosophy remains steadfast: those who are able to help others, must do so. To him, giving back is not a choice but a responsibility — an opportunity to enrich the lives of others, strengthen communities, and honor the shared humanity that connects us all.

“When thinking, speaking or doing, replace ‘but’ with ‘and’ whenever possible.”
